Welcome
Last update: August 2021
I am a biologist interested in the evolution of social behaviour and biodiversity conservation. I am a specialist in primates and interactions between groups.
For my PhD, I studied interactions between groups of crested macaques (Macaca nigra) from Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve (Sulawesi, Indonesia), focusing on the factors affecting intergroup encounter outcome intensity.
In addition, I have collaborated in field studies on Barbary macaques (Macaca sylvanus, Morocco), bonobos (Pan paniscus, DRC), samango monkeys (Cercopithecus mitis erythrarchcus, South Africa) and central chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes troglodytes, Gabon). I also studied captive chimpanzees for my undergraduate dissertation and volunteered at Rainfer primate rescue centre (Spain).
Currently, I work as a scientific advisor for the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation in Labé, Guinea. I also work on publications on intergroup interactions in crested macaques, and act as a moderator and editor for el Biogrupo.
